This brass fender was designed by Herbert Horne for the Century Guild. It is made of brass with a pierced fretwork design of waving flowers and leaves. An identical fender was exhibited on the Century Guild stand at the Royal Jubilee Exhibition, Manchester, 1887 (illustrated in the Journal for Decorative Art, November 1887, p.173).
