Buttons originally from a Saville Armchair (see G1). The chair was originally covered in velvet, then re-upholstered in ‘Strawberry Thief’ chintz in 1951/3. Covered in plain calico after damage in 1995. The chair was from the donor’s parents’ house which was furnished by Morris & Co. in the 1890s.
