This watercolour design shows three different embroidery patterns for a frame. This original design was reproduced in the Morris & Co. Embroidery catalogue, c.1912 and shows how customers’ embroidery pieces could be mounted and stretched by Morris & Co. into a bespoke frame. Customers could also order screens and firescreens from Morris & Co., enabling them to display their embroideries in their homes.
