Persian Brocatel was designed by John Henry Dearle for Morris & Co. This is a smaller silk version of the original design, see BlF262 Persian Brocatel. Dearle designed it for the drawing room at Stanmore Hall. The original design drawing is also in the Gallery’s collection, see A36.
