When compared with Arthur Heygate Mackmurdo’s original design (see A101) for Sprig, it appears Mackmurdo chose to simplify his design. Sprig was illustrated in Aymer Vallances articke ‘Mr Arthur H. Mackmurdo and the Century Guild’ in The Studio (April 1899)
