This preliminary design is for carved decoration of ‘The Sheepfold’ music cabinet (See G52). This cabinet was designed by George Jack and made by Jack and Lawrence Turner. The cabinet is made of light oak with carved panel depicting shepherd, dog, sheep and lambs in a wattle pen. This drawing is for the central part of the carved panel showing the ewe and ram. There are a few very minor differences between the drawing and the finished design of the carving.
