This hand coloured photograph shows the Lloyd family, former residents of Water House (now the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow). The publisher Edward Lloyd and his family occupied the house after William Morris’s mother left in 1858. Edward is shown here with his wife Isabella and possibly his two sons outside the front door to the house.
