With its pair, a settle and armchair of matching design, the suite was commissioned by William Edward Brooks FRIBA (1879 – 1945) from the Daneway House workshops at the time of his marriage in 1907. All were made to Gimson’s design by Edward Gardiner. Purchased in 1971 with its original rush seating.
