This Wreath carpet was designed by William Morris in around 1875, the original design is also in the Gallery’s collection, see BLA480. This fragment was cut from a larger corridor carpet length formerly at the donor Lady Sitwell’s country seat, Renishaw Hall, Derbyshire.
